Dundee has a successful farmers market but it is only once a month. This project would offer an alternative and a real opportunity for a more sustainable platform. The markets would be formed by and ran as a co-operative of farmers. This will give them opportunity and change to actually sell their produce and a viable sense, giving them the chance to compete with near by Tesco for customers. To make the project more economical it would act as a social and community space, with its multifunctional layout being open to use as an exhibition and educational space.
